Hi friends. Im going to start make our Pakistani food in instant pot. My friend let me borrow her instant pot so I Can try it out before buying it. So far I’m really loving it. Here is my first Instant pot recipe. Hope you like this video. Let me know in comment section if you have any recipe request.
This is the instant pot I’m using:
1 Onion. (I blend it and made paste)
2 Tomatoes. (Chopped)
1 tbsp minced Ginger-Garlic.
1 tsp Salt.
1 tsp Red Chili powder.
1 tsp Coriander powder.
1/2 tsp Turmeric powder.
Plug the instant pot. Turn it on by pressing Sauté button. Manually change the time to 15 minutes. It might gets hot and the pot automatically turns off but you can always turn it back on.
Add onion and fry for 2-3 minutes. Add ginger-garlic. Fry for another minute. Add tomatoes. Cook for good 3-5 minutes. (I blend or chopped everything so it makes cooking time short) Add salt, red chili powder, turmeric and coriander powder. Cook the masala until oil separates. Add clean chicken. Fry until it changes color. (My instant pot turned off while i was frying the chicken. So I turned it back on) Once the chicken is light brown add yogurt. Cook for 5-7 minutes. Add 1/2 cup of water. Close the lid. Make sure the knob on the top is turned towards sealing. Press the poultry button. The pot automatically just the time. Mine said 15 minutes. Press delay start. It will take some time and start the timer. You can see the little red button popping up. After that it pressure cook for 15 minutes. Once it’s done turn it off and unplug the switch. Turn the knob to venting and let the pressure release. Open and chicken should be done. Always add fresh cilantro before serving. Enjoy.
