WORLD’S BEST butter chicken- you ain’t seen anything like this in DELHI, India | Delicious Delhi street food tour
Delhi the capital of India is home to a vibrant street food culture. In this video we take you on a massive Indian street food tour of Old Delhi. We eat at a popular street stall famous for its kachori, deep fried stuffed flaky pastries served with a spiced potato gravy. We visit an Old Delhi stalwart famous for kheer, Indian rice pudding- it’s been around since 1880! Onwards to the best butter chicken we have ever eaten! Smoky charcoal grilled chicken served in a buttery, spicy sauce with roomali roti. This is hands down the best butter chicken we’ve ever come across. We finish with a hot milk amidst the crazy streets of Old Delhi. We hope you enjoy this Indian street food tour in Delhi, India. #indianstreetfood #indianfood #delhistreetfood

I love india. I have been there with my dog twice, spent time in Punjab, mumbai and delhi, loved all 3 places, Love the food, love the people and seeing people react to a 210 pound russian caucasian shepherd is always a good time and it always starts conversation. went with a friend so i always got the inside scoop of places to go and it really is a shame that i couldn't go back this year, been 2 years since i went and i want to go back so badly.
One time i was laughing myself to tears because i was in punjab, my friend took me to a kulcha stand and after we ordered, the guy pointed out my dog and asked if he could make a kulcha for him, and Eh utok hadn't eaten all day so i figured why not, plus the guy said his parents grew everything themselves. so i said yes, then i about hit the floor laughing because the guy said "Very good, if i do not feed him, i believe he may eat me!" cause utok was staring him down while we were eating LOL!!!
then utok basically had the whole thing in his mouth, chewed twice, then swallowed it then was looking around as if to say "Ummm… wheres the rest of it?" so we all got a laugh out of that. and nearly every place i went too, they always wanted to give him something to eat, and that i greatly appreciate.

I have been to Delhi, and though the street food looks good, and probably tastes good, I can never muster the courage to eat in those filthy and dusty streets. I wonder if any of those street vendors have had to sit through a course on food-handling. The environment in Delhi and pretty much in most parts of India is quite unappetizing to be honest.

One thing you have to get used to in India is people touching your food

What do you mean when something is stodgy? Is it thick? Is it dry? Sorry, from America and we don’t often use that term to describe food. We’ll use that term to describe unusually formal mannerisms.

M D on December 8, 2020

Also, you need to make that butter chicken on a street food at home episode. Your episodes don’t get old and I’ve watched several repeatedly.

Butter chicken has different varieties in India. The one that you ate is specific to that place.Other places do have it with a thick gravy. Some make it a bit of sweet and some no sweet at all,it varies region wise.

As an Indian all I see is these days is squalor and poverty. Street food in India has been a risky business for tourists and locals alike for quite sometime. Cleanliness standards are low typically and practices such as using tap water and re-using oil are common. When in India I choose to eat at the high end hotels or homes of renowned gastronomes as they have the best chefs and standards. It's not expensive by western purchasing power standards but still way better than many street vendors. This is not to say great street food doesn't exist. You simply need to look for the large crowd or line by the stand. This works in every third world country for good reason!
